Antonio Conte admits that he loves showing passion on the sidelines after Chelsea's win over Arsenal
Antonio Conte has admitted that he loves showing passion on the sidelines after his wild celebration during Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Chelsea boss celebrated with Blues fans in the stands after Eden Hazard put the home side 2-0 up shortly after half-time with a superb solo goal.
Conte has quickly become known for his passionate nature on the sidelines since his arrival at Chelsea from Juventus in the summer.
And the Italian manager has lifted the lid on just why he celebrates so passionately when Hazard put Chelsea 2-0 up.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website after the game, Conte said: “I think I live my work with great intensity because I give, not 100 per cent, but 120/130 per cent.
“I think in my work I put a great part of my day, I put my passion, my emotion and I try to justify this to my players.
“I live the game with great intensity and sometimes in football, when there are very important moments, to keep my patience and enthusiasm is very difficult.
“It’s good to share these emotions with my players, with my staff and sometimes also with the fans, because I want this and I think I deserve this for the patience that I put in every moment of my life in football.”
Chelsea are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Their next game is a trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley next weekend as they bid to take another step towards winning the top flight title in Conte’s first season in charge.
