Antonio Conte issues frank warning to Chelsea players

Antonio Conte warns his Chelsea players that the Premier League title race is far from over this season

Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea players that the Premier League title race is far from over after the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Burnley on Sunday.

The west London side missed the chance to move 12 points clear at the top of the table after Robbie Brady’s goal cancelled out Pedro Rodriguez’s opener at Turf Moor.

Despite having dropped points, the Blues are still 10 points clear at the top of the table as they bid to win the title in Conte’s first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Chelsea boss has warned his players that the race for the trophy is far from over, despite the Blues’ clear advantage.

Conte told his post-match news conference at Turf Moor: “There are 13 games before the end of the season and if someone think this league is finished, I can tell you now, no.

“There are six teams for me that can win the league and anything can happen. We have to think only of ourselves, not the others.

“It is important to play your game to think only of your game and then you think of the other results. We must continue to work in this way.”

Chelsea will now turn their attentions back to FA Cup affairs as they prepare for their fifth-round clash with Wolves next weekend.
