Antonio Conte: My thoughts on managing Chelsea in London

Antonio Conte admits that he is now relishing living in London after moving to England last summer

Antonio Conte has admitted that he is now relishing living in London after taking over at Chelsea last summer.

The Italian coach has earned plenty of praise for the impact he has had at Stamford Bridge after being appointed as the club’s new boss last year.

Conte has successfully steered Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table and has watched his side build an eight-point lead over their closest rivals.

Chelsea are the heavy favourites to win the Premier League this season and are also through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Conte admits that he struggled to adapt to life in London following his initial switch to England.

But the Italian says he is now fully settled in the capital and feels lucky to be living in England.

Speaking to Chelsea Pitch Owners, Conte said: “Yeah [it’s a good place to live], and honestly it wasn’t easy, overall, at the start. But I’m trying now to get into the habits.

“I’m lucky to stay in London, to live a good reality in Chelsea, because it’s a place you can see if you want to work, you can work.

“You have a fantastic training ground, you have an owner, Mr Abramovich, who stays very close to our teams and wants to know a lot.

“It’s good this, I like to have sometimes a conversation about football.”
