Arsene Wenger sends warning to Chelsea ahead of Arsenal clash

Arsene Wenger is hoping Arsenal will return to winning ways when they take on Chelsea on Saturday...

Arsene Wenger has warned Chelsea that Arsenal will do everything they can to win the game when they take on the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Wenger has been tasked with rallying his troops after the Gunners slumped to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Watford at The Emirates in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

That defeat left Arsenal nine points behind leaders Chelsea heading into Saturday’s game and means that the Gunners must beat the Blues if they want to keep themselves in the title race.

Arsenal finished second last season and Wenger is aiming to guide the north London side to their first Premier League title since the 2003-04 season.

And Wenger is hoping that his side can return to winning ways when they take on Antonio Conte’s men at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Speaking at his post-match news conference at The Emirates on Tuesday night, Wenger said: “We want to respond and win the game [at Chelsea] of course.

“First, we have to analyse why we didn’t start well. There are some situations in our team which were not completely clear at the start of the game, and we have to analyse that well.”
