Alan Shearer takes to social media to send a message to Ian Wright after Arsenal's 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League

Alan Shearer took to social media to poke fun at Ian Wright after Arsenal were beaten 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash on Wednesday night.

The home side took the lead in the 13th minute in Germany when Arjen Robben curled home a superb shot into the top-left corner.

But Arsenal battled back when Alexis Sanchez managed to divert the ball past Manuel Neuer after his initial penalty was saved by the German goalkeeper.

Things took a turn for the worse for Arsenal shortly after half-time when Laurent Koscielny was forced off injured.

The Gunners struggled without their captain and Robert Lewandowski handed the home side the lead when he headed past David Ospina to make it 2-1 to the hosts. And two quick-fire goals from Thiago made it 4-1 to the German side, before substitute Thomas Muller netted another in the 88th minute.

Arsenal legend Wright was not at all pleased by what he saw in the second half, as he tweeted:
