The Gunners fell behind early on at the Allianz Arena when Arjen Robben curled home a superb shot into the top-left corner in the 13th minute.

However, Arsenal battled back when Alexis Sanchez managed to divert the ball past Manuel Neuer after his initial penalty was saved.

It was 1-1 at half-time but things took a turn for the worse for the Gunners in the second half when Laurent Koscielny was forced off injured early on in the second half.

Robert Lewandowski handed the home side the lead when he headed past David Ospina to make it 2-1 to the hosts. And two quick-fire goals from Thiago made it 4-1 to the German side, before substitute Thomas Muller made it five in the 88th minute.

Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan has regularly vented his frustration with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger in recent years.

And the former Daily Mirror editor did not hold back on social media on Wednesday night.
