Robert Lewandowski states his prediction for Bayern Munich v Arsenal
Robert Lewandowski looks ahead to Arsenal's clash with Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday
Robert Lewandowski has told Arsenal that the Gunners “probably won’t get many chances” when they take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The north London side are preparing for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash at the Allianz Arena as they gear up for their showdown with the Bundesliga champions.
Arsenal are the underdogs heading into the game after the recent stuttering run of form in the Premier League left them 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Bayern will be hoping to make home advantage count as they bid to take a step closer towards the quarter-finals of the Champions League by beating the Gunners.
And Lewandowski is confident that the German side will have what it takes to beat Arsenal at the Allianz Arena this week.
Lewandowski is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “Everyone’s waiting for this game. It will be a big challenge for us.
“I hope we can deliver a good performance and play really well here in Munich.
“Arsenal have very good footballers. They know what it means to play in the Champions League.
“We need to concentrate on ourselves. If we play our game then Arsenal probably won’t get many chances. But we must play well from back to front.”
Arsenal head into the showdown on the back of their 2-0 win over Hull in the Premier League on Saturday.
