Charlie Adam tells Liverpool to sign six new players this summer

Charlie Adam says Liverpool need to sign a number of new players in the summer transfer window

Charlie Adam feels that Liverpool are in need of at least six new signings in the summer transfer window to transform Jurgen Klopp’s men into genuine Premier League title contenders.

The Reds have fallen off the pace in the race for the Premier League title in recent weeks to leave Jurgen Klopp’s men 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.

Liverpool have struggled to find consistent form this year and have yet to win a top-flight game since the start of 2017.

Attentions will now inevitably start to turn towards the summer transfer window and possible new additions for Klopp ahead of the 2017-18 season.

And former Liverpool man Adam feels that the Reds are in serious need of strengthening in a number of key positions.

Adam told BBC Radio Five Live: “Personally [I think] they need a goalkeeper.

“They need a left-back, Milner has done a terrific job, but they need an actual left-back.

“They need another central midfielder, they need another striker and I think they need a couple of wingers.”
