Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea side that Manchester United still pose a threat in the Premier League title race.

The Blues are currently flying high at the top of the table as they look to win the title in Conte’s first campaign at the west London club.

Chelsea are the heavy favourites to lift the trophy in May after the Blues built a nine-point lead at the top of the table.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have been struggling to produce consistent form in the top flight under Jose Mourinho and are currently sixth in the table and 14 points behind the leaders.

However, Conte feels that the Red Devils are still in with a chance of winning the title this season and has warned his side that they must step their game up ahead of their clash with Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Friday afternoon, Conte said: “Honestly – there are six teams that are very strong that can fight to win the title. Also Manchester United have a great squad.

“We have [a lead of] nine points but if we think we are very close to winning the title that’s a great mistake.
