Chelsea star: This is how Antonio Conte is making us champions

Thibaut Courtois says Antonio Conte's demanding nature is the key to Chelsea's success this season...

Thibaut Courtois has praised Antonio Conte’s demanding nature as the key behind Chelsea’s Premier League title push this season.

The Blues have established themselves as the heavy favourites to win the Premier League title this season after their impressive form under the Italian coach following his appointment in the summer.

Chelsea underlined their status as the favourites to win the title when they beat Arsenal 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.

That win left the west London side nine points clear at the top of the table and all but ended the Gunners’ title hopes.

Chelsea now have a free week before returning to Premier League action against Burnley this weekend.

And Courtois has lifted the lid on the kind of impact Conte has made at Chelsea so far this season.

Courtois told Sky Sports after Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Arsenal: “It’s good to have a manger who is demanding a lot.

“You have to be at your top every week, and that’s what makes you champion.

“If you have a manager who is not demanding then sometimes you relax and lose games.”
