Antonio Conte has urged David Luiz to forget about his stunning free-kick in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool and switch his attention to their clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues defender scored one of the goals of the season with a swerving free-kick which beat Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet in the first half to break the deadlock at Anfield in style.

The Merseyside outfit managed to hit back in the second half through Georginio Wijnaldum after the Dutch midfielder headed home from close range in the second half to deny Chelsea three points.

Luiz endured an injury scare during the first half when the Brazilian appeared to pick up a knock following a collision with Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.

However, the South American completed 90 minutes to help Chelsea edge closer to the Premier League title.

Speaking at his post-match media conference, Conte warned Luiz that he couldn’t afford to dwell on his free-kick ahead of the huge London derby on Saturday afternoon.

“Between Willian and David Luiz there is a great feeling. He kicked a great free-kick. I’m pleased for David because he is playing very well,” Conte said.

“It’s important for him to forget this goal and keep the concentration for the next game against Arsenal.”
