Danny Mills predicts where Man United will finish this season
Danny Mills is confident that Manchester United will finish in the Premier League's top four this season
Danny Mills is tipping Manchester United to break back into the top four of the Premier League this season.
Jose Mourinho has been charged with guiding the Red Devils back into the Champions League this term after Manchester United finished fifth last season under Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils have struggled to produce consistent form this season in the Premier League and are currently sixth in the table.
However, Manchester United have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, and stretched their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 16 games on Saturday when they beat Watford 2-0 at Old Trafford.
And former Premier League defender Mills is fully expecting to see Manchester United finish in the top four this season.
Mills told Sky Sports: “I look at Manchester United and think they’re on this really good run of form.
“They don’t get beaten easily whereas Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City – you can all see them losing silly games.
“But United are difficult to beat – they have fantastic talent at the other end of the field to score goals.
“And they have now got the Mourinho mentality of actually saying, ‘we are going to dig in, we are going to fight, we are going to scrap.
“‘We are going to bite and kick and drag ourselves into that top four,’ and I think they will.
“They’ve got everything to push further on.
“Because of their disastrous start they won’t get anywhere near to winning the title, but next year as Mourinho starts to build they’ll be up there.”
Manchester United, who finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season, have not won the Premier League title since their last triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
