David Luiz has warned Chelsea not to take anything for granted despite their impressive Premier League form in recent weeks.

The Blues underlined their status as the favourites to win the Premier League title this season with a thumping 3-1 win over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table and do not look like they will slip up in the race for the title.

The Blues are aiming to win the title after they suffered a shocking season last term and ended up in 10th place in the Premier League table.

However, despite Chelsea’s dominance in the Premier League, Luiz has warned his team-mates that they must keep their feet firmly on the ground as they bid to regain the title this term.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website after Saturday’s win over Arsenal, Luiz said: “We played a great match. We were strong, solid, we created good opportunities to score and we enjoyed the game.

“We are fighting for the title, but the Premier League is never easy. You have to concentrate in every single match and try to be first at the end of the season.

“It is not about the opponent, every game is very difficult so we need to be ready for everything.”
