Eric Bailly: This is what’s different about Man United boss Jose Mourinho

Eric Bailly says Jose Mourinho's individual approach to management sets him apart from other coaches

Eric Bailly says that Jose Mourinho’s individual approach to management is what sets him apart from the other coaches the Manchester United defender has worked under.

The Ivorian defender is getting used to life working under the Portuguese coach following his summer transfer to Old Trafford from Villarreal.

Mourinho was appointed as Manchester United’s new manager back in May and has been immediately tasked with steering the Red Devils back into the top four this season.

It has been something of a mixed start to the season for the Red Devils, who are currently sixth in the table as they bid to qualify for the Champions League.

Bailly has been working under Mourinho for more than six months now and the defender has given an insight into what it is like working under the Portuguese coach at Old Trafford.

Bailly told a news conference at Carrington on Wednesday afternoon: “What I’ve found different to other managers is the time he takes to spend time with you individually.

“He looks at situations in games that happened and takes time to talk through stuff, it’s something that’s been really helpful for me.

“I think it’s something which really helps me and his experience has been passed onto me.”
