The Red Devils returned to winning ways in style as they boosted their hopes of a top-four finish with victory over the champions at the King Power Stadium.
After being switched into the number 10 role, Mkhitaryan scored Manchester United’s first goal in the 42nd minute when he sprinted clear of the Leicester defence and slotted a finish past Kasper Schmeichel.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic then made it 2-0 to the visitors shortly after when he drilled home Antonio Valencia’s low cross for his 20th goal of the season.
Juan Mata added a third in the 49th minute at the King Power Stadium as he finished from Mkhitaryan’s through-ball.
And Neville singled out Mkhitaryan as the standout player for Manchester United after their 3-0 win over the Foxes.
Speaking during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game, Neville said: “Mkhitaryan changed the game.
“The positional change was good from Jose Mourinho but then he took the opportunity in the number 10 role. The first goal was excellent.”
