Harry Kane opens up about Chelsea’s Premier League title hopes
Harry Kane tells his Tottenham team-mates to forget about Chelsea's strong start to the season
Harry Kane has told his Tottenham team-mates to forget about Chelsea’s dominance in the Premier League and instead focus on their own game in the race for the title.
The Blues have established themselves as the firm favourites to win the Premier League title this season after their brilliant start to the season under new boss Antonio Conte.
Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table and are nine points clear of second-placed Spurs after 24 games of the new campaign.
The west London side will aim to continue their march towards the title when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are currently preparing for their crunch clash against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday night.
And Kane has told his Spurs team-mates to ignore Chelsea’s form and instead focus on what they can control – their own performances.
Speaking to The Daily Express, Kane said: “We can’t control what Chelsea do.
“All we can do is concentrate on our games and winning as many as we can from now until the end of the season.
“Our aim now is to win trophies and we believe we are good enough to challenge for the Premier League title.”
