Henrikh Mkhitaryan was quick to highlight Manchester United’s team spirit after Sunday evening’s 2-1 win against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.
The Armenia international was starting his second FA Cup game after the attacking midfielder scored in their 4-0 win against Championship side Wigan Athletic in the fifth round.
Mkhitaryan continued his fine form with a stunning assist for Marcus Rashford at Ewood Park as the England international cancelled out Danny Graham’s first-half opener.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho opted to bring on Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba in the 60th minute with their progress to the last eight hanging in the balance.
And the two summer signings combined to unlock the Blackburn defence as the towering Swedish striker scored his fourth goal in two games with 15 minutes remaining.
Mkhitaryan showed his humble side as he took to Twitter after the 2-1 win to highlight Manchester United’s effervescent team spirit.
