Jose Mourinho delivers the latest Man United team news ahead of Wednesday's crunch clash with Hull City
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Eric Bailly will be fit and available for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Hull City at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The defender has been away on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations but has returned to Carrington following their surprise exit at the group stage.
Bailly played for Manchester United’s reserves against Everton on Monday night and Mourinho confirmed on Tuesday that the Ivorian would be ready to face Hull in the League Cup on Wednesday night.
Speaking at his pre-match news conference on Tuesday afternoon, Mourinho confirmed Bailly was fit and then said: “We always play a full-strength team.
“It depends on the way you look at it but we always try to have a strong team.
“Of course, we had some players that didn’t play the last match [against Wigan], some players with a lot of matches played already – people like Valencia, Ibra, Pogba.
“Some of these players with lot of matches didn’t play but will play tomorrow.”
Manchester United are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they bid to break back into the top four in Mourinho’s first full season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils will aim to win their first major trophy under their new boss when they take on Southampton in the EFL Cup final next month at Wembley.
