The Red Devils head into the game on the back of their frustrating goalless draw with Hull City at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
That result was Manchester United’s third successive draw in the Premier League and left Jose Mourinho’s men in sixth place in the table and 14 points behind leaders Chelsea heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
However, former Manchester United striker Owen is fully expecting to see the Red Devils return to winning ways by beating champions Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “No side in the history of the Premier League has failed to score in their first five games of a year but that is what is facing champions Leicester City if they don’t find the back of David de Gea’s goal on Sunday.
“United were left frustrated by Hull midweek but I cannot see this current Leicester side from stopping Jose Mourinho’s side at present.”
Manchester United are aiming to break back into the top four under Mourinho this season after their disappointing fifth-placed finish under Louis van Gaal last term.
The Red Devils won the FA Cup under the Dutchman last term.
