Manchester United and Liverpool could go head to head in the race to sign Bordeaux striker Malcolm this summer, according to reports.
Clubcall are reporting that the 19-year-old forward has been scouted by both Premier League teams in recent weeks, although the player is under contract at the French club until 2020.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window as the Premier League clubs look to bolster their squads ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
According to the report, club scouts from both Manchester United and Liverpool were in attendance at the Stade Matmut Atlantique on Friday as Bordeaux were beaten 3-0 by Paris Saint-Germain.
The 19-year-old Brazilian has been a regular fixture in the Bordeaux team this season, scoring four goals and making one assist in 24 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side to help them up to seventh place in the table.
Manchester United were 2-0 winners over Watford last weekend, before Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-0 at Anfield to notch up their first Premier League win of 2017.
