The Arsenal stopper was left worse for wear after being clattered to the ground by Alonso as he scored Chelsea’s opener in the 13th minute at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunchtime.
Bellerin had to be substituted immediately after the incident as Arsenal suffered a damaging defeat by the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
Goals from Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas wrapped up the three points for Antonio Conte’s men at Stamford Bridge.
And Alonso admitted after the game that he wasn’t able to catch up with Bellerin following the incident.
Alonso told Chelsea’s website after the game: “I jumped a bit higher and got to the ball first, I didn’t even see him coming so I don’t think it’s a free-kick”
“I feel sorry for him, he’s a good friend but I didn’t see him. I hope he’s OK.”
Chelsea are now nine points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they prepare for their trip to Burnley in the top flight next weekend.
Their remarkable upturn in form this season has been in stark contrast to their struggles last term.
