Paul Scholes admits that he is thrilled by how Zlatan Ibrahimovic has settled into life at Manchester United
Paul Scholes has admitted his delight at how Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made such a big impact at Manchester United so far this season.
The Swedish striker was once again the star of the show as he came off the bench to score a late winner to fire the Red Devils into the sixth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Ibrahimovic has been one of Manchester United’s standout performers since his arrival at Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window on a free.
The 35-year-old has successfully silenced any of his doubters by scoring 24 goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s men so far this season.
And Scholes admits that he has been delighted by what he has seen from the Swedish forward so far this season.
Speaking to BT Sport after Sunday’s FA Cup win, Scholes said: “That’s what he is paid to do.
“He’s done it at big clubs across Europe and he’s been a great signing for Manchester United.
“A free transfer as well! He is 35 but what quality he still has.”
Manchester United will travel to Chelsea in the sixth round of the FA Cup.
