Pedro explains his improved form at Chelsea this season

Pedro says that his change of position under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been key to his improved form this season

Pedro Rodriguez believes that his change of position under Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been one of the key factors behind his improved form this season.

The Spanish attacked has been in much improved form this season after struggling to produce consistent displays for the west London side last term.

Pedro has scored six goals and made five assists in 22 Premier League appearances for the Blues so far this term.

Pedro’s fine form has helped Chelsea to build an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table and firmly establish themselves as the favourites to win the title this term.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Pedro said: “I always think about how I can score a goal and help my team, so when I have a chance I try to score, I try to help my team – this is my job.

“I’m playing a lot more on the inside now than I was last season.

“I am getting on the ball and receiving passes more centrally, and getting in more goalscoring positions as well – obviously my team-mates are helping me to do this.”
