Has Cesc Fabregas just hinted that he plans to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer transfer window via social media?
Cesc Fabregas appears to have dropped the clearest hint yet that he is happy to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place in the first team beyond this season.
The Spanish midfielder has found his first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge severely restricted this season following Antonio Conte’s appointment as the club’s new manager last summer.
Fabregas has scored two goals and made six assists in 16 Premier League games this season but only started five of those encounters.
The 29-year-old started Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday evening as Conte’s men secured their place in the quarter-finals, where they will face Manchester United.
Fabregas took to social media after the game to post the photo above on Instagram and write the caption: “100 starts for @chelseafc 🎉👏🏼”
And the former Arsenal captain then appeared to drop a hint about his future at Chelsea by ‘liking’ the comment below by one fan.
