Cesc Fabregas and Marcos Alonso got into the competitive spirit with Chelsea at Cobham on Thursday in training
Cesc Fabregas and Marcos Alonso looked to be getting into the competitive spirit in Chelsea training ahead of their FA Cup clash with Wolves on Saturday night.
Both Spaniards will be hoping to feature for the west London side when Antonio Conte’s men take on Wolves looking to continue their hunt for two domestic trophies this season.
Fabregas has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Chelsea first-team this season since Conte’s appointment last summer, despite producing some impressive displays for the Blues.
Indeed, the former Arsenal captain has been limited to just five starts in the Premier League this season.
Alonso, on the other hand, has been one of Chelsea’s most consistent performers in defence since his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina last summer.
And the pair looked to be in good shape as they battled for possession during training at Cobham ahead of Saturday’s game.
Fabregas posted the picture above on Instagram and wrote the caption: “Quiet beast! Then you take it off me… @marcosalonso28”
Chelsea are currently eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
