David De Gea takes to social media to pay tribute to Ander Herrera after Manchester United training

David De Gea has taken to social media to acknowledge Ander Herrera as one of his good friends at Manchester United.

The Spanish shot-stopper and the midfielder have known each other for more than eight years and De Gea was quick to remind his compatriot of that fact after training on Wednesday.

De Gea posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Today I’ve just realised I met this guy 8 years ago… 😆”

Both De Gea and Herrera will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are bidding to make it back to back wins in the Premier League after their 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday.
