Granit Xhaka has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping Arsenal get back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sutton United in the FA Cup on Monday night.

The north London side headed into the game desperately looking to get back to winning ways in the wake of their 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.

Goals from Lucas Perez and Theo Walcott secured Arsenal’s place in the last eight and set up a clash against Lincoln City for a spot in the semi-finals.

Xhaka played from the start against Sutton and was clearly thrilled to play his part in helping Arsenal seal their progress, as Walcott notched up 100 goals for the Gunners.

Xhaka posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Another box ticked and looking forward to our next game against to Lincoln city.

“Well done all and a special mention to Theo on a great achievement.🏆”

Arsenal’s next Premier League game is a crunch trip to Anfield next month as they look to continue their bid to finish in the top four this season.
