John Terry took his recovery seriously after Chelsea's 2-0 win over Wolves in the FA Cup

John Terry’s wife has taken to social media to reveal the lengths that the Chelsea captain goes to in his recovery after games.

The defender was handed a rare appearance for the west London side on Saturday night as he helped the Blues book their place in the sixth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win over Wolves.

Terry has found his first-team opportunities at Chelsea severely limited this season as he approaches the closing stages of his career at Stamford Bridge.

However, the former England international appears to be showing no signs of stepping back and the photo above proves just how seriously he takes his recovery after games.

Toni Terry posted the picture above of the couple in bed, with John wearing a pair of Recovery Boots as he bids to get back into shape as quickly as possible.

She shared the photo on Instagram and wrote the caption: “Married to an athlete 💙 @johnterry.26”
