Jordan Henderson has taken to social media to thank Liverpool fans for their support after Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Anfield.

The Blues and the Reds shared the points on Merseyside after Georginio Wijnaldum cancelled out David Luiz’s first-half free kick.

Diego Costa spurned the chance to seal all three points when he missed a late penalty at Anfield as both sides took a point from the game.

The result left Liverpool 10 points behind leaders Chelsea and in fourth place in the table as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to secure a top-four finish this season.

And Liverpool captain Henderson was quick to pay tribute to the home fans after the game.

Henderson posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Good performance from the lads on Tuesday! Atmosphere was brilliant 🙌🏻 #YNWA 🔴”
