Mohamed Elneny has taken to social media to reflect on the one-year anniversary of his Arsenal debut and send a heartfelt message to Arsenal fans.

The Egypt international joined the north London side from FC Basel back in January 2016 and the midfielder went on to make his debut for Arsene Wenger’s men in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Burnley on 30 January of last year.

Elneny has made 11 Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season and has notched up two assists in all competitions.

And the 24-year-old midfielder was clearly feeling in a reflective mood on Tuesday afternoon as he used social media to look back to his Arsenal debut.

Elneny shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Yesterday, was the day when I came here for the first time, when I played my first game for Arsenal.. this unforgettable event will always stay in my memory as one of the bests in my life.. I’m very happy of being a gunner and I hope it continues this way.”
