Roberto Firmino was feeling in a reflective mood ahead of Liverpool's clash with Tottenham on Saturday...

Roberto Firmino was clearly in a philosophical mood this week as he and his Liverpool team-mates prepared for their crunch Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds have endured a frustrating start to 2017 under Jurgen Klopp and are yet to win a Premier League game since the turn of the year.

Liverpool suffered a surprise 2-0 loss to Hull City last weekend to further dent their title hopes and leave them 13 points behind leaders Chelsea in the race for the title.

The Merseyside outfit will now look to try and return to winning ways when they host top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Saturday night.

And Firmino was clearly in a reflective mood this week as he and his team-mate prepare for their crunch clash against the Lilywhites.

Firmino posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “The light that guides me is much stronger than the eyes that surround me.”
