Theo Walcott takes to social media to celebrate Arsenal's win over Sutton United and his 100th goal for the club
Theo Walcott has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping to fire Arsenal into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The north London side bounced back from their 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich last week by beating Sutton United 2-0 to set up a quarter-final clash against Lincoln City.
Lucas Perez gave the visitors the lead in the 26th minute, before Walcott made it 2-0 after half-time as the England international netted his 100th goal for the north London club.
Walcott was clearly thrilled to play his part in the win and used his personal Instagram account to celebrate the victory after the game.
The forward posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “100th @arsenal goal and in to the quarter finals of @emiratesfacup – Big thank you to all the fans #COYG”
Arsenal, who are fourth in the table, now turn their attentions back towards Premier League affairs and their trip to Liverpool on 4 March as they bid to get their push for a top-four finish back on track.
