Bastian Schweinsteiger looks to be in good spirits at Manchester United despite his lack of playing time this season

Bastian Schweinsteiger seemed to be in good spirits as he met some local school children with Daley Blind and Juan Mata as part of an event with the Manchester United Foundation

The German World Cup winner has found his first-team opportunities at Old Trafford severely restricted this season since the appointment of Jose Mourinho in the summer.

Indeed, Schweinsteiger is yet to make a Premier League appearances for the Red Devils this term as he looks to break into the first team at Old Trafford.

However, his lack of playing time does not seem to be getting him down.

Schweinsteiger was all smiles with the likes of Mata and Blind as the trio visited a local scool as part of the Manchester United foundation Schools United initiative.

Schweinsteiger posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Had a great time with local kids at @manchesterunitedfoundation’s #SchoolsUnited event yesterday!”

And Mata also added the photo below, writing: “What a great day with @manchesterunitedfoundation #schoolsunited Always learning!”
