Pundit predicts where Man United and Tottenham will finish this season

Matt Le Tissier is backing Manchester United and Tottenham to finish in the top four this season

Matt Le Tissier is tipping both Manchester United and Tottenham to finish in the top four this season.

The Red Devils have endured a stuttering start to life under new boss Jose Mourinho but have improved in recent weeks to boost their Premier League hopes.

Manchester United were 3-0 winners over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday as they moved to within a point of fifth-placed Liverpool.

However, Mourinho’s men are still off the pace in the race for a top-four finish, with the Red Devils currently sixth in the table.

But despite their recent struggles, Le Tissier is tipping Manchester United to finish in the top four, and for Tottenham to build on their third-placed finish last season by also securing a spot in the Champions League next term.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Le Tissier said: “I think there will probably be a stumble along the way somewhere for Chelsea but they should be champions. They’ve got a nice run but it’s the time of the year where the struggling teams start to pull out results.

“Then I’ve gone for Manchester City and Tottenham plus Manchester United, who have got the momentum of a long unbeaten streak behind them.”
