Roy Keane aims dig at Man United boss Jose Mourinho

Roy Keane has not been impressed by Jose Mourinho's demeanour at Manchester United in recent weeks

Roy Keane has hit out at Jose Mourinho for returning to his “old cocky self” at Manchester United in recent weeks.

The Red Devils have been in much improved form in recent weeks after a shaky start to life under their new manager.

Manchester United are unbeaten in 16 Premier League games and successfully booked their place in the last 16 of the Europa League on Wednesday night with victory over Saint-Etienne.

Mourinho will now look to steer Manchester United to their first major trophy of the season when they take on Southampton in the EFL Cup final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

However, former Manchester United captain Keane has not been particularly impressed by Mourinho’s demeanour in recent weeks.

Asked if Mourinho has got his swagger back, Keane told ITV Sport: “It’s a pity really, you’d like to see bit more humility.

“You knew once they started winning a few games he’d get back to his old cocky self.”
