Steven Gerrard predicts where Arsenal and Man United will finish
Steven Gerrard tips both Manchester United and Arsenal to miss out on top-four finishes this season
Steven Gerrard believes that both Arsenal and Manchester United will miss out on top-four finishes in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal are currently within the Champions League qualifying spots but the Red Devils have an uphill struggle left to secure their spot in Europe’s elite club competition for next season.
The Gunners ended up in second place in the top flight table last term, while Manchester United missed out on a top-four finish under Louis van Gaal.
Manchester United are in good form and are unbeaten in their last 16 games in the Premier League.
However, former Liverpool captain Gerrard feels that both Arsenal and Manchester United are the two teams in the top six currently most likely to miss out on a Champions League spot.
Speaking on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight Show, Gerrard said: “I’m going to say Arsenal are going to drop out [of the top four]. And Manchester United have left themselves with too much to do.”
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 season.
