Ray Parlour states his prediction for Sutton United v Arsenal
The former Arsenal midfielder is backing Arsene Wenger's side to get the job done despite a difficult week
Ray Parlour is tipping Arsenal to avoid an almighty upset when the Gunners take on Non League side Sutton United in the FA Cup fifth round on Monday night.
The Gunners endured another forgettable night in the Champions League after a 5-1 loss to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last-16 clash at the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal have struggled to maintain their consistency in the Premier League this term and the north London side are currently 10 points adrift of leaders Chelsea with 13 games to play.
The 2014 and 2015 FA Cup winners eased to a 5-0 victory over Southampton in the fourth round at St Mary’s last month.
Speaking to the Alan Brazil Up Front podcast ahead of the FA Cup weekend, Parlour offered his prediction for the clash between Sutton and Arsenal.
“If Sutton score first, it’s going to be really interesting but you’ve got to fancy Arsenal. You have to fancy them to have enough to get through to the next round.”
Arsenal are in fourth place in the Premier League table and level on points with Liverpool in fifth spot.
The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
