Thierry Henry sends Liverpool warning to Arsenal
Thierry Henry talks up the importance of Arsenal's crunch Premier League trip to Liverpool next month
Thierry Henry has talked up the importance of Arsenal’s Premier League trip to Liverpool next month after the Gunners returned to winning ways in the top flight.
Arsene Wenger watched his side wrap up a 2-0 win over Hull City at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon as the north Londoners began to get their season back on track following back to back defeats by Chelsea and Watford.
Arsenal now turn their attentions towards their crunch Champions League last-16 tie against Bayern Munich.
The north London side will make the trip to Anfield to play Liverpool on 4 March in their next Premier League game.
And former Arsenal captain Henry has talked up the importance of that game for the north London club.
Speaking on Sky Sports after Arsenal’s victory on Saturday, Henry said: “The Liverpool game is going to be massive in between the Bayern Munich games.
“People are saying that they don’t stand a chance against Bayern Munich – obviously Bayern are the favourites but the way Bayern are playing at the moment, they are not that dominant any more and it could be an interesting game actually.
“But the Liverpool game in between those two games is massive. Let’s see if they are back on track at Anfield.”
Arsenal are currently nine points behind Chelsea in the Premier League table ahead of the Blues’ clash with Burnley on Sunday.
