Wes Brown: Why this Man United star will shine under Jose Mourinho

Wes Brown is tipping Marcus Rashford to enjoy a successful future under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United

Wes Brown is tipping Marcus Rashford to develop into a key player under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

The Red Devils striker has been forced to wait for his chance to impress this season after initially breaking into the first team under Louis van Gaal last term.

Rashford was rewarded for his fine performances for Manchester United last season with a call-up to the England squad for last summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France.

However, the youngster has been limited to just 10 Premier League starts so far this season for the Red Devils.

But despite his lack of playing time this season, former Manchester United defender Brown is tipping the defender to hold down a regular spot in the first team in the coming seasons.

Brown is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “It is hard.

“I remember when I got through, it is not as bad as this, but you know you have got a couple of games to show what you can do otherwise you get dropped back again.

“It is not the end and he has obviously done fantastically.

“At the moment he has not played that much, he has come on as a sub. But he is young and I am sure Mourinho has got him in his plans for the future.”

Manchester United are fifth in the Premier League as they bid to finish in the top four this season.
