Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reassured Manchester United supporters that Jose Mourinho’s players still have a lot of games to secure their top-four finish.

The Red Devils were given the chance to move to within a point of fourth-placed Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s side played out a 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere, Arsenal lost 2-1 to Watford at the Emirates Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur played out a frustrating goalless draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Manchester United, though, couldn’t find a way past Hull goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic at Old Trafford despite Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata coming close for the hosts.

Ibrahimovic has scored 15 times in 22 games in the 2016-17 Premier League season ahead of Manchester United’s next fixture at defending champions Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking to Manchester United’s website after their goalless stalemate with Hull, Ibrahimovic delivered a verdict on the Red Devils’s chances of securing a top-four finish.

“We have many more games left to go and we will do our best, obviously, to try to get in the position where the future looks good for the club and that is by playing in the Champions League,” Ibrahimovic said.
