The German playmaker’s future has been a subject of speculation this season after both he and Alexis Sanchez entered into the final 18 months of their contracts at The Emirates.
Ozil has earned a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most talented playmakers since his arrival at Arsenal from Real Madrid back in 2013 but it remains to be seen whether he will stay at The Emirates beyond the summer.
However, the player himself has dropped a hint that he would be open to extending his stay at Arsenal by insisting that he is happy at the club and plans to hold talks in the summer.
Ozil is quoted as saying by The Daily Star: “The fact is, I’ve still got a contract in London. To speculate now would be wrong.
“At the end of the season we will see, there will be talks. I’m very happy at Arsenal and in London.”
Ozil will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch home clash against Manchester City at The Emirates on 2 April.
