Cesc Fabregas sends message to Arsenal fans about Theo Walcott
Cesc Fabregas says he would love to swap bodies with Arsenal star Theo Walcott because of his pace
Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he would love to swap bodies with Theo Walcott and says Arsenal are lucky to have a player as quick as the England international.
The 29-year-old Chelsea midfielder was asked the somewhat bizarre question about which other player’s body he would like to have.
And the Chelsea star picked his former Arsenal team-mate because of his searing pace.
Fabregas said at a fan Q&A for Carabao: “Someone where they give you a long ball and you just pass the players. I’ve never had this feeling unfortunately!
“I would really like to have felt what it would be like to be a Theo Walcott.
“I remember at Arsenal I used to pass him the ball over the top and I knew he could get there whatever it takes.
“To have this feeling, to be so superior on the long runs and pass everyone – I would have loved that.”
Fabregas is currently gearing up for Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon as he bids to help the Blues take a step closer towards winning the title.
The Blues can move seven points clear of Tottenham with victory, before Spurs host Arsenal in the later kick-off on Sunday.
Fabregas spent eight years at Arsenal before leaving the club to re-join boyhood club Barcelona in the summer of 2011. He then signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2014.
