Charlie Nicholas believes Aaron Ramsey could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer – if Mesut Ozil commits his future to the north London club.

Ozil’s future at The Emirates has been a relentless source of speculation in recent months after both he and Alexis Sanchez entered into the final 15 months of their contracts at the north London club.

It remains to be seen whether Ozil will commit his long-term future to Arsenal by signing a new long-term contract with the Gunners before the start of next season.

However, former Arsenal star Nicholas believes that Ramsey could be set to leave The Emirates if Ozil does end up signing a new contract at the club.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Saturday afternoon, Nicholas said: “If Ozil signs, he’ll [Ramsey] go.

“Because he plays that role, Cazorla is coming back next season [even though] he’s getting on in years.

“Where’s he going to fit in?”
