Tony Gale is expecting to see Arsenal miss out on a top-four finish this season.

The north London side are currently one of the outsiders to finish in the Champions League qualification spots this season after a dip in form in recent weeks.

Arsenal were 1-0 winners over Leicester City at The Emirates on Wednesday night to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive.

However, the Gunners are still in sixth place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and claw their way back into the top four before the season is out.

Arsenal have finished in the top four in every season since their move to Emirates Stadium but they face a serious fight in securing their spot for next term.

And Gale feels that Arsene Wenger’s men have left themselves with too much to do in the race for Champions League qualification.

Gale told Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday: “They’ve gone on a run in the last few seasons and ended up getting in the top four. [But] I don’t think that will even be enough this time around.”
