Jermaine Jenas delivers his prediction for Arsenal v Man City
Jermaine Jenas is fully expecting to see Manchester City book their place in the FA Cup final at the expense of Arsenal
Jermaine Jenas is backing Manchester City to beat Arsenal 3-1 in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final showdown at Wembley.
The Gunners head into the game after having returned to winning ways in the top flight with a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Monday night.
Manchester City, meanwhile, are fresh from a dominant win over Southampton to keep their bid for a top-four finish this season on track.
Arsenal have been in stuttering form in recent weeks and have dropped down out of the top four in the Premier League to leave their Champions League qualification hopes in serious doubt.
And former Tottenham Hotspur star Jenas is fully expecting to see Manchester City book their place in the final with a comfortable win over Arsene Wenger’s men.
Jenas wrote in his column for BBC Sport: “I think it will be wide open, even if the fact it is a semi-final will calm it down a little bit.
“In my head I am thinking 3-3 but Arsenal are just not free-flowing or playing well at the moment and City will have Kompany back too. 1-3.”
Arsenal finished second and without a trophy last season but won the FA Cup in both 2014 and 2015.
