Graeme Le Saux is predicting an exciting game between Arsenal and Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners will be hoping to reach their third FA Cup final in four seasons and finish the term on a positive note in what has otherwise been a disappointing campaign.

Arsenal made a swift return to winning ways in the Premier League on Monday night thanks to a 2-1 win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium courtesy of goals from Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

The Gunners lost 2-1 to Manchester City at The Etihad in December before the two Premier League clubs played out a 2-2 draw with Pep Guardiola’s side last month.

Former Chelsea defender Le Saux was reluctant to pick a winner, but the Betfair football ambassadorx tipped the two sides to play out an entertaining affair at Wembley.

“I’m expecting an open, expansive game here and given the respective styles of the two teams I think it’s absolutely ideal from an entertainment point of view that they’re playing each other,” Le Saux told Betfair’s blog.

“I predict it’ll be exciting, and because of that I think we’ll see goals.”

Arsenal beat Hull City and Aston Villa in the FA Cup final in 2014 and 2015.

The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
