Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to keep their hopes of securing a top-four finish on track by sealing a comfortable win at Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game on the back of their impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford last weekend as Jose Mourinho’s men earned plenty of praise for beating the Premier League leaders.

Mourinho’s men still have a chance of finishing in the top four this season, with the Red Devils currently fifth in the Premier League heading into this weekend’s round of games.

And Manchester United know that they will move level on points with third-placed Liverpool if they win their two games in hand over the Reds.

Former Manchester United striker Owen is fully expecting to see the Red Devils claim victory over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday and keep their top-four bid on track.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “I’m staggered to see Manchester United as big as 7/2 to achieve a top-four finish with them, Liverpool and Manchester City all likely to fight out the spots for third, fourth and fifth respectively.

“A lot will depend on next week’s Manchester derby but I expect the Red Devils to arrive at the Etihad having claimed all three points at Turf Moor.”
