Thibaut Courtois believes that Antonio Conte’s ability to keep his Chelsea players motivated has been one of the key factors behind the Blues’ success this season.

Conte has had a brilliant impact at Stamford Bridge after joining the west London club last summer as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor.

The Italian’s team are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table as they prepare for their crunch clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

Chelsea have been the Premier League’s top performing team this season and are currently seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they prepare for Sunday’s clash.

The Blues are chasing a domestic double this term, with Chelsea set to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals later this month.

And Courtois has hailed Conte’s ability to keep his players motivated regardless of Chelsea’s form.

Courtois is quoted as saying by The Daily Mail: “A lot of players have the will to win, but sometimes if winning becomes a habit, the hunger might drop and you will lose some games.

“But it’s always nice to have a manager who keeps the players at the level they need to have, who keeps our focus and doesn’t allow us to drop our guard.”
