Diego Costa has insisted that he is happy at Chelsea amid the speculation about his future beyond the summer.

The striker has been a key part of the Chelsea team this season and his fine form has helped the Blues establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this season.

Costa was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the last two transfer windows and it remains to be seen whether the Spain international will be at Chelsea next season.

However, the striker appears to be enjoying life at the west London club this term as he bids to help the Blues win the Premier League and FA Cup in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at the club.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Costa said: “I want to play. Playing right now is great. We are playing to win a championship.

“During the previous season I was out a lot of the time, either because of a suspension or an injury or for another reason.

“So this year I really want to play the remaining matches and enjoy myself here in Chelsea.”

Chelsea are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table as they look to win the title under Conte.

The Blues finished 10th and without a trophy last season following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2015.
