Jamie Redknapp says Eden Hazard and Diego Costa have been giving Chelsea the “X-factor” this season.

The Blues have been the Premier League’s top performing team this season and Antonio Conte’s men are currently flying four points clear at the top of the table.

Chelsea are the favourites to win the title this season under their new manager after a remarkable turnaround following their disastrous 10th-placed finish last term.

And Redknapp has singled out Hazard and Costa’s brilliant form for the Blues this season as one of the major factors in Chelsea’s success this term.

Speaking after Hazard and Costa both scored in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Southampton on Tuesday night, Redknapp told Sky Sports: “They were the difference [against Southampton].

“He left them out at Wembley to give them a little bit of a kick up the backside. They looked fresh [against Southampton]. They gave Chelsea the X-Factor.”
